OCTOESTER

Octoester is a polyester moulding compound (premix) using unsaturated polyester resin as a binder, styrene as a cross linking agent, and various inorganic powder materials and chopped glass fibers as fillers. The basic classification of Octoester is made by DIN 16911 and there are two types: type 801 (standard) and type 803 (self-extinguishing). The commercial names of these Eurocomposit products are Octoester-11 and Octoester-11S. The standard color of Octoester is white, and by customers request it could be produced in other colors too.

Application
Octoester-11 and Octoester-11S are used for manufacture of technical and constructive parts in various branches of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical and automobile industry, and also for manufacture of technical product of consumer goods.

In case of fire the product doesn't melt, neither does it form droplets nor is smoke generation excessive. The material is injection moulded in heated steel moulds. It is recommended to work with chrome plated tools. The product contains no halogens.
 

Processing: Moulding conditions:
 1. Direct moulding  1. Temperature 150 - 155°C
 2. Transfer moulding  2. Pressure……5 - 10 N/mm²
 3. Injection moulding  3. Time…..40 - 50 sec/mm

OCTOFEN 9V

Moulding compound Octofen 9V (Thermosetting plastic materials for pressing dielectric details)  is manufactured on the base of modified phenol-formaldehyde binder and non-alkali glass fiber as a filler.

Appearance: granules of irregular form with length 2 - 10 mm and cross section 5 - 10 mm, color is light to dark yellow. Size of granules may be changed according to customer’s request.
This molding compound by its properties, corresponds to standard GOST 20437-89.

Application
Octofen 9V is used form manufacture of constructive and electrical insulating parts with increased strength, as well as form manufacture of parts form thermic protections of rocket motor etc. The parts manufactured form this molding compound are stabile in the temperature range from - 60°C to +200°C, as well as conditions of tropical climate. Moulding compound  Octofen 9V is applied in direct and transfer compression moulding of structural.

   3. Time…..........60 -75 sec/mm

Oktofen MB-N (trade mark PF-MB-7261)

Oktofen MB-N is phenol-formaldehyde moulding compound using phenol-formaldehyde resin (novalock type) as a binder, and non-alkali glass fiber and mineral flour as reinforcements. Standard color of Oktofen MB-N is white to dark yellow. Before moulding it is recommended to make preforming of the moulding compound.

Application
Oktofen MB-N is used for manufacturing of electro-insulating parts with an increased strength as well as parts form thermi protection. The parts made of this moulding compound are stabile in temperature range of - 30°C to +130°C, a s well as in tropical climate conditions.
Processing and moulding conditions are the same as Octofen 9V.


OKTOCARBOFEN (trade mark PF-CV)

Oktocarbofen is phenol-formaldehyde moulding compound using phenol-formaldehyde resin (resol type) with special ablative performances as a binder and carbon fibers as reinforcement. Standard color of Oktocarbofen is black. Before moulding it is recommended to make performing of the moulding compound. The glass and carbon fiber content could be agreed with the customer./p>

Application
Oktocarbofen is used form manufacturing of constructive parts with an increased strength as well as form thermic protection of rocket motors and e.t.c. The parts made of this moulding compound are stabile in temperature range of - 60°C to 1500°C, as well as in tropical climate conditions.

Processing: Moulding conditions:
 1. Direct moulding  1. Temperature 150 ±5°C
   2. Pressure…...30-80 N/mm²
   3. Time…..........60 -75 sec/mm

We produce various moulded parts on the following hydraulic press units:

  • 100 t, with tool opening of 340 x 500 mm
  • 200 t, with tool opening of 630 x 680 mm
